Managing a cluster and additional hosts together.

Despite having been in IT forever, I just recently got into homelabbing and presently have a Xeon host running Proxmox (though all my previous experience has been with vCenter). I just picked up three Zimaboards that I’m going to experiment with clustering on and to host VM’s I need to span across multiple hosts like DNS, etc. That said, I’d still like to manage all four hosts from a single session and be able to vMotion if possible. My questions are this:

  1. Primarily, is this possible?
  2. If I have to join the original host into the Zima cluster to achieve this can I fence it away from HA but still use it for vMotions?
  3. If so, what clustered host should be the initial pack leader? One of the Zima hosts I assume, or the original?
  4. My original host is definitely the power sink (and noise generator) so part of this Zima initiative is to give me the ability to power that down periodically. Any considerations or advice to keep in mind for that?
