Make proxmox responds to mypublicdomain.com:8006

Hi

So far we were using proxmox with our public IP.
We now would like to use it (and it's VM) though a public domain name (i.e. mypublicdomain.com:8006).

Question:
Is that possible to make proxmox respond to mypublicdomain.com:8006 without changing it's internal host name (default value is for me proxmox6) ?

If you don't care about TLS its easy, just point any domain record to it and browse it.

If you care, you have to setup Let's Encrypt and/or your own certificate.

Actually port 8006 with public IP allows me to reach the administration console but it does not work with the domain name. Https or not.

I've just added "10.x.x.10 test.jochum.local" to my /etc/hosts and browsed https://test.jochum.local:8006/#v1:0:18:4::::::: worked.

Can you ping the domain name? Whats the error in browser? If you can can you curl it curl -v https://<domain>:8006 curl should give you cert error if it works.

Yes it is.

mydomain.ext:11009 works (this is mapped to a VM port)
but
mydomain.ext:8009 does not works (this is the proxmox admin page)

Do you use port 8006 and the same IP for the Domain as directly with IP?

The domain name is a OVH Domain, initially pointing to host A.
I did a subdomain of that domain, pointint to host B where proxmox is.
sub.domain.com:1111 -> points to my VM and works
sub.domain.com:8006 -> points to proxmox and does not works

Do you have IPv6 @ Home and on the proxmox subdomain?

If yes that wont work atm.

No ipv6 is disabled at home & proxmox.
