I have webpage, which we use to send mails to internal and external contacts.

After we implemented Proxmox MGW, mail sending from this webpage not working. We receive two problems;

1. When try to send to internal contact - we receive code 250 2.7.0 BLOCKED.

2. When try to send to external contact - Relay access denied.

Probably I need to configure something in Proxmox MGW, to allow from this one webpage to send emails through Proxmox MGW.

I really need help.

SMTP settings. As I understand it uses PHPMailer.

And Yes, on exchange server there is configured receive connector. Now all mail traffic is going through proxmox.

You are using another exchange server for the mail sending webpage?
Pls show the actual error message from proxmox mail gateway.

I was. Now my setup is like this:

All incoming and outgoing mail <--> Proxmox MGW <--> Microsoft Exchange Server

Before I had like this:

All incoming and outgoing mail <--> Microsoft Exchange Server.

The message, which I receive when I configure smtp settings on webpage:

Are your Test rules blocking the email?

Yes, looks like test rule took action before whitelist. Change priority. inernally received mail. Still cant to send external contact.

* does the server with the newsletter software connect to the internal port of PMG?
* Is it's ip listed in the Trusted networks? (Configuration->Mail Proxy->Networks)?

that's the two most-likely reasons why you get the relay denied

* it connects to external port (25).

* No it wasn't. I listed it, but still it rejected. with the same error - Relay access denied.

it connects to external port (25).
If you want to send outbound mail (your newsletter going to e-mails around the world) - it needs to connect to the internal port of PMG
