mail encoding

We have a weird issue with an irish language client that uses characters like áéíóú.

They have an issue where inbound mail coming in through the proxmox the characters are garbled like this : á, é, í, ó ú

For internal mail this isn't an issue - for outbound mail that doesn't go through the proxmox - also no issues.

They did have this problem for all e-mails - but changing the e-mail encoding in Outlook to Unicode 8 solved it for all issues apart from inbound mail coming in through the proxmox.

Any thoughts?

thanks!

sorry for the delay - it's only in the subject - the main body is unaffected.

And the subject headers are correctly encoded (email header may only contain ascii characters - else you have to use b- or q-encoding).

yeah - the subjects are encoding fine. When I send the mail directly - bypassing the proxmox I don't get the issue.

Please can you send me such file (or simply post the subject header here), so that I am able to test that.
