I have recently moved to Proxmox and during and after my many test installs and my final production installation I made lots of notes and put together a sort of guide in case I have to do it again for what ever reason. I thought I would share with the community for both feedback and maybe to help someone else that is setting up Proxmox. I tried to keep it as open / generic as I could, so that it could work for most installation configurations / types / setups.

Thanks for your work, but I removed the PDF from your post and sent you the reason why I did this - maybe you can host your PDF somewhere else?

May I ask why the official guide was not good enough?

Instead of creating all new, you can also try to contribute to the official docs and then all can benefit also in the long run.

I didn't see the volunteer contributed writeup so I can't say much about it.

I can say the official Doc scares newbies. It did not give me confidence to give it a go. I got more inspiration from reviews on reddit

Did not mean to cause and trouble. I only posted it as I used many sources to get Proxmox configured and thought I may help others that are new too.

Tom - I have seen and read your secondary message and I can under stand that part totally, my sincere apologizes if it caused any problems.
