Hiya!
I hope you're doing well.

Have anyone find a way to log in with Apple ID on macOS Sequoia?
Since Beta 2 to Release Candidate, its not possible to login with Apple ID account.
Apparently might be a new Apple's feaure in order to prevent running macOS System on not authorized Apple Hardware.

Only its possible to use Apple ID account and its services on macOS Sonoma or lower.
Cheers

Can confirm, experiencing Apple iCloud issues post Sequoia upgrade. Can't login to any iCloud or apple services. Haven't found a work around.

Was wondering about upgrading my VM to Sequoia and saw this thread. Any updates? Perhaps they tightened about Apple ID security?

As far as I can tell there's no workaround. Apple changed something on their end. Not sure if the hackentosh community will figure out some alternative fix. But for now the end of the road seems coming.

We should still get security fixes for 14.7.X releases for some time though.

Hi,

I have the same problem. The link above tells something about config.plist Could you please help me where to find that file? Can I edit it when osx runs or is it edited in the UEFI Boot shell?

Thanks

See the guide here:

(Works on any macOS version in Proxmox, not just Ventura)

Go to the "Editing your OpenCore/EFI settings" Section:
It walks you through mounting the EFI partition within macOS, where you can find the config.plist file in a subfolder on the partition. I personally edit the plist file with vscode or Xcode. Just avoid text edit.

Edit: Backup your plist file and or your VM in case you make an error while editing.

So it sounds like the solution is to upgrade to Seqouia, patch the kernel RE: VM detection and then all works as Sonoma?

That's good news, but I suppose I'm in no hurry to upgrade my VM right now :)

For me unfortunately it did not work. I followed the instructions, kern.hv_vmm_present was set to 0 but still I could not login with my Apple ID

Hm…Did you by chance make the change before the upgrade? Not sure if it matters. I did before upgrading.
