Hi,

I'm trying to install MacOS Mojave on Proxmox.

I read this page:

https://www.nicksherlock.com/2018/04/patch-ovmf-to-support-macos-in-proxmox-5-1/

which mentions you need to patch the OMVF firmware on Proxmox, to get it working with MacOS. Apparently this is due to two custom patches we put in:

https://sourceforge.net/p/cloverefiboot/tickets/439/

My questions are - what is the impact of reverting these two commits? (i.e. if I run this patch, will it have any impact on Proxmox?).

Perhaps a naive question - but is it possible to make this patch optional?

I ran the OVMF patch and my proxmox is still working fine.

MacOS mojave runs really well.

I only wish to be able to get the Qemu Quest Agent installed so that it would respond to shutdown/restart commands through the Proxmox UI.

For example, when I want to reboot my host, my host will not be able to reboot automatically until I manually shutdown the MacOS VM.
