Hi,
I'm testing containers in proxmox and noticed some weird behaviour.
I have installed cenos 7 image for test and added just ssh and apache to it.

Then downloaded large iso file to test network connections etc.

Since I have started to download that image from server I have noticed that RAM usage was 100% which was bit weird but ok I could live with that.
But then when download was completed Proxmox is still showing 100% RAM usage on machine even tho I use only 17MB:
[root@bandwidthtest ~]# python ps_mem.py
Private + Shared = RAM used Program

128.0 KiB + 242.0 KiB = 370.0 KiB agetty (2)
572.0 KiB + 191.5 KiB = 763.5 KiB dbus-daemon
584.0 KiB + 217.0 KiB = 801.0 KiB systemd-logind
496.0 KiB + 478.5 KiB = 974.5 KiB rsyslogd
508.0 KiB + 618.5 KiB = 1.1 MiB login
680.0 KiB + 1.2 MiB = 1.9 MiB bash (2)
2.3 MiB + 211.0 KiB = 2.5 MiB systemd
3.9 MiB + 355.5 KiB = 4.2 MiB systemd-journald
2.3 MiB + 2.8 MiB = 5.1 MiB sshd (2)
---------------------------------
17.6 MiB
=================================

See attached image where in same time I get 100% RAM usage on that VM in Proxmox GUI.

Any idea why this chart and value in gui do not match real usage?

Thanks
Yes seems like it does include Cache.
See screenshot of lxc container 100 which is the one I have issue with.

I will get bug registered now.

Regards

Wojtek
