Hi all!

So I'm a bit confused with this issue I'm finding for the first time... I installed an ubuntu 24.04 template, then LXDE with firefox on it (the .deb version from the mozilla repo, which I manually added). Firefox won't load any website, including internal IP addresses. It fails immediately, doesn't even wait for a timeout.
Apt works correctly and I can download/install packages no problem. So I installed ungoogled Chromium. Chromium works just fine. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong? Any ideas?

This is my ip a:
Code:
$ ip a
1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN group default qlen 1000
    link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00
    inet 127.0.0.1/8 scope host lo
       valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
    inet6 ::1/128 scope host noprefixroute
       valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
2: eth0@if113: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc noqueue state UP group default qlen 1000
    link/ether bc:24:11:c4:3c:7e brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff link-netnsid 0
    inet 192.168.1.182/24 brd 192.168.1.255 scope global eth0
       valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
    inet6 fe80::be24:11ff:fec4:3c7e/64 scope link
       valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever

Thanks!

This looks a Browser issue, not related to Proxmox VE. I would check the error you get when you try to browse. Maybe a Proxy?

Initially was set to autodetect, but I've set it to none. It just gets the 'hmmm trouble getting that website' generic error page. But it's immediately right after hitting enter, no time to actually search for anything. It just happens with the LXC (ubuntu 24.04 template) right after building it, both using LXDE and XFCE desktops (tested it rebuilding a couple times...so brand new container and again the same issue). No issues with a full VM running Ubuntu 24.04 either LXDE or XFCE.

Have you tried to install the Firefox using apt instead of deb?
Huh...what do you mean? The snap? I mean, I use apt install ./firefox-x64-vXXX.deb. I don't think it's related to how firefox is installed, but more like to how it detects the containers network. But not sure how can I troubleshoot it. It's not DNS, since I can't load internal IPs, either. But I can ping both internal and external IPs from the container...and of course, different browsers such as chromium, work.
