Dear proxmox members !

I would like to ask for your help! I would like to set up a home server for beginners. I installed the latest proxmox program on a mini pc with ext4 file system! My problem is that after installation lvm-thin is not available. Only the local disk is accessible. I tried it on another machine with completely different hardware and there the same situation unfortunately. So I can only install vm to the local location! Can anyone help me with this? Thank you very much in advance!

I think you are getting confused. 2nd screenshot asks you for the storage where you store your ISOs. ISOs are files and files can't be stored on LVM-Thin. So your only option to store ISOs is your ext4 storage "local". So this is all correct. Upload your ISOs, select it and later in the VM creation dialog it will ask you for the storage where it should store the virtual disks. Here you then will be able to select your "local-lvm".

Hello !

Yes this is the correct process, but I simply did not go any further during the installation and this caused the glitch!

Best wishes !
