LSI sas9200-16e P20 cant see drives on DS4246

This is my setup:
dell r910
256gig ram
8x2TB smr rubbish
1x4TB ssd
Dell h200 HBA card running dell firmware
LSI SAS9200-16e

NetApp DS4246
Orginally with IOM3 but upgraded to IOM6.

h200 card works fine and all drives are detected and performances is what I expected.
(apart from SMR dives are a complete waste of resources - wish I knew about them before I brought 8 of them!!!)

But drives in netapp diskshelf are not detected.

can someone point me in the right direction here?

Can i just ask about your cabeling, how you connected it, if IT Mode is enabled on the LSI Controller and which cable are you using?Are you using SATA or SAS drives?

I presume IT mode is enabled. How would I enable IT mode? there is no option during post to enter any configuration tool.

I have only tried SAS drives. Should I try a SATA drive?

If you connected the shelf with two links to the LSI, try one.
You could also try a SATA drive.

Also you could do debugging with lsiutil
