low fsync/seconds

I have a brand new server with a intel I7 and 12 GB RAM

the sata drives are not detected when the IDE config in the BIOS is
"enhanced". After setting this to "Compatible" they are.

I have no raid installed at the moment.

after installation a pveperf says:

FSYNC/SECONDS: 166 ms
I read on this forum this value must be around 1000ms.

has this something to do with the Compatible mode?
I cannot think of how to improve this values with my current hardware.

Please can you test with version 1.4beta2

Some HDs are that slow (no disk cache). Using A HW Raid improves that value too.

but i have to add the server to an existing cluster in the dc,
so a cannot use 1.4 beta in production.

i will try the 1.4 beta for now and let you know.

Just installed 1.4b2

this are the results:

being detected now. If you see the result below it's much better,
so it must be a sata driver issue in 1.3 ??

are there major issues with beta2, so far it seems running fine.
Do you think it's save to run the beta 2 in production till the final 1.4
arrives. Or is "soon" very "soon" ?
