Hi there,

I lost the password of my VM ware. So i thought that I can mount a Ubuntu Live ISO and edit the /etc/shadow.
But I was not able to mount the /dev/sda3.

I get some error:

mount /mnt/recover /dev/sdb1
mount: /mnt/recover: unknown filesystem type 'LVM2_member'.

Any ideas?

Hello,

if you enabled the qemu guest in your VM you could reset the password using qm guest passwd command

Hello Moayad,

as I dont have the password for root I can not install the guest agent :(.
Any other ideas?
