lost network connection after upgrade of proxmox backup Server

Hi There,
my network adaptor won't come up after an update..... from looking around this forum I think it's to do with a bad install of ifupdown2.... I can't list out the packages with pveversion -v (That seems to only work on proxmox)
My proxmox Backup Server is running in a VM inside Proxmox (Version 9.0.10) :)
Could you please give me a pointer on how I fix this sitaution, Thanks.
