I'm trying to add disks to proxmox and it looks like these partitions are already on the disk, They were a part of a previous proxmox set up, just looking to clear them out
I've tried fdisk, dd, lvremove, vgremove, wipefs nothing seems to work, and could anyone give me some more info on what ├─d1-vm--106--disk--0 253:18 means? is it a partition? why aren't the methods i've used working ? Thanks everyone!

"wipefs -a /dev/sdx" always does the job
Now that's what I tried , but it's still holding onto it ! I'm sure it's something I'm overlooking I even tried forcing the wipefs that says successful but still shows

Are you sure you tried with "-a" ?

Does "wipefs /dev/sdx" still print signatures ?
