log consolidation

Hi everyone!

I'm evaluting a pmg installation, and I've a question: is it possibile to send log of mail receiving and sending to a log server for consolidation, using a configuration that won't broke making version update to pmg? it seems to me that there is no option in web configs

PMG relies on syslog for some of its operations (mail tracker) - so we'll probably have rsyslog around for quite a while.

you could add an rsyslog config-snippet (also systemd-journald can send logs to other instances) which sends the logs to your log-archiving solution (udp, tcp, repl) - as long as you keep the modification in mind (and don't prevent all system logs to land in /var/log/syslog) this should not cause issues during upgrades

(howtos for configuring rsyslog for remote logging are abundant on the internet)
