Locked out of GUI after disabling 2FA

Hi, after enabling 2FA, and having to disable for cluster use, it was still coming up with a 2FA box that I could not type into.

I then did this https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/2fa-for-root-disable-in-cli.114274/post-493896

Now the 2FA box does not appear, but the correct root credentials do not work (they do work with a shell)

Can anyone help?

I sorted it by deleting the file, rather than just deleting the sole entry for root within the file

Can I now re enable 2FA on the master now the 2 machines are clustered succesfully?
