local-lvm storage in cluster

Hi all,

I am after a little advice on the behaviour of the local-lvm on nodes when joined to a cluster.

A little background, I have a mini PC that was my first Proxmox cluster node. I also have a RaspPi 4 running Proxmox too and although they are hardware incompatible, I thought it would be good for it to be part of the cluster, just for management purposes and in time to be a third node for HA quorum when I get round to adding a duplicate of the first mini PC into the cluster.

Once joined though, the RaspPi node local-lvm storage is not accessible any more and has a question mark. If I remove that node from local-lvm under Datacenter>Storage then of course it removes it from the view and everything looks fine. That is ok, but I want to use the local storage on the Pi node for a couple of VM/LXCs. There are no disks not in use though if I try to add storage. Is it not possible to have a separate local-lvm equivalent on that node once it has joined the cluster, even if it's called something else?

Many thanks in advance!

Local storage can be per the node no matter if the node is part of cluster or standalone. For pve it's just right configuration in datastore->storage.

Thanks for coming back to me. The issue is though that the RasPi node no longer has a Volume Group since joining the cluster, so I can't add any storage under datastore->storage for it specifically.
