Ah test repo. I tried with no subs, but the fix is still not there.

When do you think it will hit no subs repo?
If I want to get just this fix from test repo, which package should I manually get from the test repo? Must I update many because they have dependencies on each other or can I upgrade just one?

I can reproduce it too (tested with local:...qcow2) , if --targetstorage option is missing.

Hopefully the patches come soon, but using --targetstorage=local (in my case) is coppying the VM disks like it should. Ill stick to that until patches comes to the normal no sub repo.

At time of writing: no, if you're uptodate on no subscription you can fetch just the qemu-server package (version 5.0-45) and or newer and install this manually with dpkg, e.g.:

wget http://download.proxmox.com/debian/dists/stretch/pvetest/binary-amd64/qemu-server_5.0-45_amd64.deb
# check integrity 
md5sum qemu-server_5.0-45_amd64.deb
5fef7708fc042a859c877660eb7fdfe0  qemu-server_5.0-45_amd64.deb
# install
dpkg -i qemu-server_5.0-45_amd64.deb

Works. I just tested. (Updated to no subs repo and manually installed qemu-server_5.0-45_amd64.deb)
