All,

Without pressure and just as a nice to have: Would it be thinkable that you implement a copy / paste function into the noVNC Gui, please?

Otherwise it's sometimes a bit of a hassle when requiring to type in very long strings (i.e. license codes and / or passwords)

That feature would help a lot!

Thanks
Tobias

Nevertheless: It would be nice if we had this feature automatically turned on (or via option)
If it would be simple, it would already be present. Paste is simpler to implement as copy and there were already ideas to do this, at least I saw a couple of posts about it regading pasting via QEMU console sendkey emulation, like Hyper-V does.

If it is a server without a desktop the easiest way is via the serial interface (xterm.js). We do it like this.

Or set up a Guacamole VM if you want VNC/RDP/SSH via browser with copy-paste support.
Using SPICE instead of VNC is also great and comes already integrated in PVE. Offers way more features, better image quality and latency but you need to install the Virt-Viewer in the client machine and spice-vdagent in the guestOSs.
