Hello,
I have 2 machine .
1 have centos 7 ,50gb hdd and another is proxmox.
I want to have 1st machine into vm. So I can use that machine for testing.
How we can we convert 500gb linux hdd machine into a vm.

Thanks

If you have enough storage available on your PVE, you could try copying the disk with dd.

Nothing, if you need it to be bootable in a VM, you have to do a block level copy (`dd` does that) of the whole disk.

Does the server hardware will effect any.
I have to copy from ia64 bit very old server to new hp server.
