I downloaded the Ubuntu Minimal cloud image from here, specifically, ubuntu-18.04-minimal-cloudimg-amd64-root.tar.xz. I then created a 2GB disk container and fired it up. To my surprise, it was 417MB when I expected the uncompressed container size to be under 200MB, About half the size is coming from /usr/lib.
My question is: does Proxmox add anything to the containers in order to make them run properly?
