Linux Bridges and DPDK

Hi all, sorry for the NOOB question. I know that I can have DPDK with OVS but not with Linux bridges.

Is there any thoughts from dev team regarding getting linux bridges faster (with the use of DPDK, any other userspace networking or any other way)?

dpdk is not working with linux bridge, as it's userspace. (and linux bridge are kernel space).

we have XDP on the kernel side, but currently it's not yet working for bridge (only routing).

The road seem to be long, but kernel dev are still working on it.
