Linked Clone feature is not available

Hi all,

Reasonably new Proxmox user. I've got a 3-node setup using Ceph RBD as the base storage.

Recently, I created a new storage pool and moved some of my templates to the new storage. After doing so, I now find that I cannot create linked clones from those templates. I moved them back to the original storage pool but the problem persists.

The specific error is shown in the image below. I used to be able to create Linked Clones from these templates - in fact, I have VMs that work fine that were linked from these templates.



Does anyone know why I might be seeing this error?

this is bug #1260, see the tracker entry for workaround:
https://bugzilla.proxmox.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1260

should no longer happen on the current version for newly moved disks.

Hi Fabian, thanks for the bug link! I re-converted the image to a template and it worked great.
