limit the number and block origin

Hi all,
nowadays they're spamming us and sending hundreds of emails to various accounts that don't even exists.
Is there a way to block these offenders? Something like fail2ban but on the number of connections (maybe)?

Try customize incoming rate limit or use postfwd

Hi,
Both of these are available on the Mail Proxy Options.
This would limit the service in general and also limit friendly situations. I don't believe one could exempt certain origins (IP/Domains) from this setting.

I'd suggest to enable recipient verification - then all those mails to nonexistent mailboxes will be rejected very early - see section 4.7.4 at https://pmg.proxmox.com/pmg-docs/pmg-admin-guide.html#_mail_proxy_configuration
