hi there,
I know that PBS is using a absolute ton of tiny files, and as such is very IO intensive. As a result I think an all SSD is recommended however this is not very cost effective.
We currently use a all HDD pool and i've been looking at improving speeds.
does an L2ARC which stores meta data work better than a metadata special device and has anyone worked with either to improve verifies, restores etc?
