I am having a great time testing ProXmoX! but need some help with this:

I created a windows 2003 server guest using the Intel 1000 MT adapter and I can communicate to the host and vice versa. This installation is running great.

Today I created a Windows 2008 R2 Web KVM guest using the same adapter and the same network configuration but I cant ping the guest from the host.( I can ping the host from the guest tho. )

I had this same problem on the 2003 server, but it was resolved after installing the drivers from Intel.com. On the Windows 2008 R2 server the intel driver says that the adapter is not found, but the device manager says Intel Pro 1000 MT and i can connect to the internet on it. The firewall is disabled on both the host and guest.

Has any one experienced this problem?

Thank you!

The problem was the windows firewall. On Windows 2008 R2 you need to disable 3 profiles - Domain, Private and Public.
I only disabled the default one (Domain).

for win2008r2 (and win7) Intel does not provide extra network drivers - the integrated drivers are working without issues.
