Hello,
i have tested rate limit on a KVM vps ( proxmox 5 last version ).
It doesn't work on UDP flood.

A single vps in my case, put down an entire machine..

Some ideas ?

Thanks

Post the respective container configuration file and tell what you tested exactly.

Proxmox 6, rate limited to 1MB/s a KVM VM, still outputs 50MB/s
Still a problem limiting outgoing traffic?

I can confirm the rate limiting has strange behaviour starting far back from versions 5 and it is not resolved up to the latest 6 version, it should be reviewed.
Did not investigate it completely, but what obvious is that setting a desired rate never works fine for UDP floods, the only way to limit a flooder is to set a limit of 1 MB/s (which still indeed will output around 50MB/s)
