KVM Monitor information

Hi,

I don't have any problems needing troubleshooting. Just wanted to know more about the function of KVM Monitor(the eyeball icon).

This page is the only reference I can find.

Curious if anyone can provide further reading and use case examples for this function.

Its used to interact with your guests.

For example I can use the monitor tab to perform a VM backup, or add a usb device. Just type "help" on the monitor screen to get an idea of what it can do.

Hi, I did read the help before posting..and it's extensive.

Yourself, do you use this function much? What would be a reason for you to use this?

Just trying to wrap my head around the tool usage.

I use it once in awhile. My use cases are very limited.

- Used it to hotplug a USB device to VM
- Used it to hotplug a PCI Video card to a VM
