Trying to start a Windows 2003 Server install using VE 0.9.

I believe I have read all of the relevant instructions and forum threads, but am at a loss as how to start a VM from either CD or ISO.

When attempting the start, the following is logged into syslog:
qemuserver[25825]: Starting VM 120
qemuserver[25825]: ERROR: start failed - got unexpected startup message: open /dev/kvm: No such file or directory
pvedaemon[7916]: VM 120 start failed -

Hi,

Looks like your Hardware has no Intel VT (or AMD-V) support. what CPU/Motherboard do you use?

You need a motherboard/cpu combination supporting these technologies in order to run windows. If you hardware has support, please make sure you enabled this in the BIOS. most systems needs a complete power off cycle after enabling the VT.

That's it. It's a Dell PE 2850.
I couldn't find anything definitive before I installed.
Will have to borrow another server.

Thanks.

No have information today for the motherboard, it's an OVH server.
I contact OVH support to activate VT extensions into the bios.
