Hello guys:

I'm an not so new Proxmox VE user. I has been using it since a long time ago, but just a few days ago I started playing with some special settings.

I have a Proxmox 3.1 server with a local storage and some KVM machines running. One of them has CentOS 7 x86_64 installed, and I want to move it to a different Proxmox 3.3 server with a NFS storage.

Here's what I did:

  • Create a snapshot based backup for my source KVM machine (on 1st Proxmox 3.1 server).
  • I copied the backup file to a NFS share (mouted by 2nd Promox 3.3 server).
  • I've restored the backup file from the 2nd Proxmox server without issues.
  • I powered off the source KVM machine.
  • Then I've started the restored KVM machine.
  • It start booting but it takes long time to complete due to some check to filesystems (/usr, /home, /boot, etc). But it finally boots after some time.

As I suspected that maybe the backup of a running KVM machine could be the issue, I powered off the source KVM machine, ran a snapshot backup again, I copied and restored the backup file but the same slow behavior+fsck ocurred.

Do you have any idea of what the issue can be?

Thanks in advance.
