Hello everyone,

I'm having trouble with some of my windows guests. When the VM is not used for a certain period of time it kind of freezes. I can't access the VM through the network and it doesn't respond to keystroke via the console. When I look at windows logs after rebooting the machine, I don't have a clue of any kind of problem happening.

I'm running Proxmox v3.4 on all my hosts with approximately the same config for the VM : virtio HDD (version 0.1.102 of virtio drivers), Intel E1000 nic and kvm64 cpu. I'm having this issue with Windows 2012 R2 guests.

Does anyone has an idea of what could be the cause of my issue ?

Thanks in advance

do you use spice or the novnc console?
if you use spice, maybe the energy settings are on power saving (or something like this) so that the vm goes into sleep/suspend?

I primarily use noVNC. As the guests are Windows 2012 R2 I don't have sleep/suspend mode enabled. I always disable screen sleep to avoid any complication as well
