I've been running proxmox 8.0 since last year without any issues. I've used the GUI to update and reboot it a couple of times, also without issues. Last weekend I did the same and it's now kernel panicing on bootup. I have tried booting from the 8.2 rescue image and it does exactly the same. I've run memtest and don't get any errors there. I'm about to try the v8.1 rescue image to see if that makes a difference.
I'm just using the free proxmox repo. I have an HP Proliant DL580 g7 with root filesystem on an SSD running on the inbuilt HP RAID controller, all of my VM storage pools are ZFS and are running on LSI MPT SAS HBAs, one internal HBA with 4x 1.2TB drives on it fitted in the internal SAS bays and one external with 12x 4TB SAS drives on it.
My question is how can I see what older kernels I have on the system so I can try booting off one of those instead, or is there any other way I can roll it back? I have backed up all my VMs to a Proxmox Backup Server and I am hoping all my VMs are still there on the ZFS pools. What should I do next?
