Kernel Care - proper usage

What is the proper usage of Kernel Care?
As I know, Kernelcare does update the kernel in a running system.
After an update of Proxmox with a new kernel, is it necessary to reboot the server?
Or just keep it running with Kernelcare?

Thats a real good question. And i'am interesting too. But i think there are only security updates. So i think yes if you do an pveupgrade the server have to reboot. But let us wait what other users say about.

New updates arrived, I updated Proxmox, after that I had to reboot and get now "Unknown Kernel".
I was in contact with Kernelcare. I've got the answer "Hello, most of us are xxx".
