Keeping proxmox PVE 1.2 up-to-date

I haven't found any info (or just didn't searched correctly) if the underlying debian lenny distro has to be kept up-to-date with the normal apt commands.

I am just wondering if updates won't corrupt proxmox before trying to do this.

The devs have previously suggested that you should follow normal patching procedures (apt-get). The repos baked in should handle everything properly to avoid conflicts.
