I am about to buy my first subscription, and wished to collect all the info about this topic in the wiki, because I've found many of these scattered in proxmox site, sticky posts, and many discussions...

http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Subscriptions

Please review those info, correct, edit or add information if something is wrong o unclear.

I just see this page and for me its the wrong place for such explanations - you can find all info about these services on www.proxmox.com so just copying just parts of the same to wiki page is misleading.

You are right, there are a lot of discussions but I am not sure if this helps, I suggest we entirely remove this page and add a link www.proxmox.com, eg. to http://www.proxmox.com/proxmox-ve

you can find all info about these services on www.proxmox.com
really? where?

I've written it because I was frustrated not to find that all together... isn't that correct, pertinent, useful and up to date?
If you remove that page, please create a page on http://www.proxmox.com/ if you wish, with no less info.

Sometimes it seems to me that proxmox wishes to confuse users, instead of helping them to understand...

what do you miss? I can point you to all info needed.

The wiki if for documentation of the software.
The www is for the commercial part.

So we try to keep this separation. Do you really think its a good idea to include pricing information and commercial terms in a wiki page, created and maintained by the community and open for editing for everyone but people think its the official Proxmox terms? We create additional problems here, no solutions.

? I clearly stated
<<There are different subscription levels (see http://www.proxmox.com/proxmox-ve/pricing), with pricing related to CPU & month.>>

so no doubt about which is the authoritative source for prices. What follows is clearly only an example to help people understand how to calculate subscription amount for their systems. many pages on wiki have detailed examples about very specific (and sometimes even very old) resources but it's easy to understand that they are just examples, and readers should evaluate them with their own values and systems. or so it should be (see this conversation... http://forum.proxmox.com/threads/16...-ve-2-6-32-in-debian-wheezy?p=86756#post86756)

about <<I can point you to all info needed.>> please, show me instead where are those info displayed clearly on a single page (or even a page with all links to relevant pages)... because if I found them, I would not have had the need to put them together.

that said I have no doubt that you can do what you want, but I would keep that page, that can be improved and updated if necessary.

if you want to keep that page you should write an clear introduction on top, telling the reason of the article and also try to link to the official sources as much as possible.

also take a look on the knowledge base here, you explain a lot in the wiki which is here:
http://shop.maurer-it.com/knowledgebase.php

ok, I never seen that page, it's not even linked by www.proxmox.com... I asked some of those info by mail directly to Martin, which kindly answered but did not pointed me to that KB...
and that's a KB so, a collection of links to questions and answers, not a full explanation, as I wished to have...

I just noted tha some text is not that clear, small typos perhaps:
<<Proxmox Mail Gateway licenses cannot revoked or refunded. If you not want to cancel the Maintenance Subscription:>>

perhaps it should be
<<Proxmox Mail Gateway licenses cannot be revoked or refunded. If you want to cancel the Maintenance Subscription>>
?

what I intended with a single wiki page was a single point where who need can understand everything about the subscription part of pve, and in a place where all registered wiki users could add and improve info for others (that is the spirit of a community wiki).

I'll edit that page, try to improve it, and point also to the KB.
