Joining Cluster

I am using 5.4 to be able to join a cluster then upgrade but i am getting the following

It just hangs

I have tried different ip's but getting the same issue, tried to install and join 4 different times now.

Can your new host can resolve (name -> IP) all the cluster members names ?

Is there a reason why you try to use a Proxmox VE 5 cluster? Version 5 is at end of life since July 2020. Apart from that, creating the cluster from the GUI should be easier in any version.

Yes the current cluster is on 5.4 so what i need to do is replace the disks reinstall and rejoin the cluster and then i will upgrade them all to 6 once all disks and all been reinstalled.

Or would you recommend upgrading them all to 6 and then reinstalling and then joining?

I have just tried again and made sure the entries are in the hosts file and getting the same error.

They all used to work fine, no network changes at all

If the whole cluster is non-functional, then it might be an option to upgrade by wiping your PVE installations, install PVE 6 and create a new cluster.
