Hi everyone,
I am new in Proxmox.
I want to join two server HP ML350P with 2 NIC HP 530T (10G copper).
I think I have to use a cat6A cable for this.
What I have to use:

- a 10G switch?
- a cross cable?
- a normal cable?
Someone told me that this Adapters works also with normal cable ( I mean not cross ), but I don't know.
Can someone help me?
Tks.
Andrea

Not sure what you meant by normal cable, but for 10g you should at least use Cat5e. You dont need cross cable if you are using a switch of course. Or you are trying to save money by not using switch and connect them with crossover cable instead?
Although i never tried it, i believe it is possible to connect 2 nodes with crossover cable. In your case the HP530T has 2 ports of 10g. So one port you can use for Proxmox traffic while other for Ceph, if you are using it.

Sorry, I mean normal as "not crossover". I know when I join two PC directly, I need a cross cable, but I read that with NIC up 1000, is not necessary (but I am not sure ).
Cat5e doesn't work. For 10G need cat 6A (copper in my case ).

Crossover cables should not be necessary when using 1gb or higher - the phys are smart enough to autoconfigure.
