Hello,

I tried to install windows 10 (21h1) as a VM in PVE 6.4-9 , but it took a very long long time to boot ISO file, the cursor just blinking on the screen, like bellow screenshot,
If I use OVMF(UEFI) as firmware , everything work well. I think there is something wrong with default SeaBIOS , currently I need to use SeaBIOS as default for some reason.
I also find a link about similar issue -- https://bugzilla.proxmox.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1181 , but it's marked as fixed.
Any one meet that issue , any advise ?

Could you try if the problem affects PVE 7 as well?

i could only reproduce the boot issue when changing between i440fx (slow) and q35(fast) (seabios/ovmf did not make a difference)

Hello,I met a same problem on pve7 , default i440fx take more than 10 min to boot a new ISO file , when change to q35 ,it become fast, use nuc11 with Samsung 980 .
The vm io usage show no more than 2M with i440fx ,is bug or not?
I use default i440fx and it works well for 1 year on my old device (pve 6.2-15 intel 6th cpu).
Thanks!
