Issues with PVE 8.0.2 Install

Running into an issue when I go to install PVE 8.0.2 on a bare metal HP Elite Mini 600 G9 with 2 x 1TB NVMe SSDs. It seems that the issue may be related to the fact that I am attempting to install using ZFS RAID 1 however this issue did not present itself with PVE 7. Any insights on what the cause may be?

FWIW btrfs RAID 1 would not take either.

Update. does not appear to be related to ZFS RAID1, ZFS RAID0 will not take either.

ext4 will not work either.

after removing these drives and using drives from another PVE install we were able to install pve8.02 without issue. I suppose this could have been some sort of anomaly with partitioning/formatting of the drives but that is really outside of my wheelhouse.
