I have a number of proxmox servers and VMs that work flawlessly. I use an NSF share on a FreeNAS server for backups. Two of the servers are installed at a site with poor utility power. We have enough backup power to keep a couple of the servers working for extended (a couple of hours) time but not everything. Since backups only occur every third night, I have the NAS server shut down when power fails and the proxmox server and VMs keep rolling along. This works fine until the odd chance that the proxmox server needs to be restarted (Backup power technology is the bane of my existence some days). When proxmox starts, it tries to mount the NSF share and just sits waiting for a connection. I've looked for some setting that will just time out the connection attempt or a method to load the share after Proxmox has started to no avail. Any thoughts on how to resolve this (other than implementing more backup power to keep the FreeNAS server working).
