Ok, I know it's NT 4.0.. yeah I have some apps that will NOT run on anything else..

Anyways on proxmox 1.0 I could not only install NT 4.0, but all my copied VM's from vmware, physical boxes, and virutal server worked ok... now they all hang, bluescreen with either atapi or scsiport issues, and the install hangs trying to configure the network.

to start, the promox version:

#uname -a

Ive tried installing NT 4.0 with the ide cdrom/disk, and the ne2k_pci nic, and as soon as I go to enter an ip address it hangs the VM.. (again 1.0 didnt), Ive removed the NIC installed without networking and it hangs on the reboot, so it didnt flush out the boot config so it loops back to the install... Ive tried the hard disk on scsi but the cdrom just hangs on boot...

I guess the nagging thing to do is move back to 1.0 .... But is there something I'm missing?

nt4 is not really working - but did you try the no-kvm option (disable KVM, uses just qemu - see the option tab on the detailed vm view)

can you try to run the application on reactOS?

Yeah I tried to disable KVM and it still doesn't work at all... reactOS is a zillion years away from being usable... I hate to say it but Im going to have to go back to 1.0 .... And I get the feeling I'm going to be locked into 1.0.....

There is no way to specify a certain version of Qemu is there? Also any way to add any cli options? I'd be interested to see if -M isapc did anything for this but I don't see any way of adding any flags....

Please try to report bugs to the kvm/qemu people. Maybe they can get that fixed (although I think NT4 is not there first priority).

Also any way to add any cli options?

new qemu-server has 'args' option to pass cli options (man qm)
