Issues Controlling VM

I noticed with one of my VMs it is not responding to Stop, Shutdown, Reset, etc. commands.

So there is no error that appears. I've even noticed on a Windows one, where I tell it to shutdown/stop, and it keeps rebooting. I found that if I waited a while, then tried the action again, it eventually worked.

ok did you tried with CLI or API to see if there an error?
CLI:
pvesh create /nodes/{NODE}/qemu/{VMID}/status/shutdown
or
pvesh create /nodes/{NODE}/qemu/{VMID}/status/stop

I used the Web gui to do it. I can try with the command line interface next time.

I tried with the CLI, and it tells me that it can't acquire the lock file.

Try with qm tool qm shutdown <VMID>

and it tells me that it can't acquire the lock file.

qm unlock 106

if not work just delete it manually then try to stop it with command

qm shutdown 106

I tried this and it doesn't work. It says "VM quit/powerdown failed".
