This is a bit of a noob question, but we are looking at Proxmox for a hosting solution for a section of our business.
I have setup LVM groups with Networking Backing as per http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Storage_Model and have successfully had several VMs running from our SAN via iSCSI. My question is, how could I both have that volume available for VMs but also write to the volume.
For example, this model would be hosting Windows 7 PCs which it does very well so far. We have a qcow2 image of what we need these machines to be. I understand the format must be raw to run it off the iSCSI target and that is fine, but I would like to create the VM and then place the preconfigured raw in its place and boot it up.
Any help would be appreciated, and feel free to ask me to clarify anything if what I am saying is not clear.
