I was able to install VE 7.2 successfully. But PC fails to reboot after installation. I mean, it doesn't even show anything on the screen, totally blank screen, not even BIOS screen, totally no response. Each time I have to flash CMOS to get BIOS screen. PC was running win11 just fine. This is a joke.

Is this Proxmox thing?

Intel i5-10400F
16GB DDR4-3000
Asus B460 Wifi gaming plus
1TB NVME
Nvidia 960
2 Seagate 4TB HDD.

I don't understand how Proxmox can behave like this. geez. any suggestions would be appreciated.
 
There is a really quick way to separate the location of the problem into Proxmox specific or something deeper and not related to Proxmox at all: Install plain vanilla Debian Bullseye. Here is a line from the documentation: "Proxmox VE is based on Debian. This is why the install disk images (ISO files) provided by Proxmox include a complete Debian system as well as all necessary Proxmox VE packages."

This means: go install Debian. If the problem you're experiencing persists, then you have reduced the number of variables involved and Proxmox is not one of those variables.
 
I am able to fix it. Seems network cable plays a role. It's weird that the old cat cable works under win 11, but not working in Proxmox.
Anyway all good now after cat cable is replaced.
