is safe enable "shared" mode for LVM storage in production ?

Hi,

i cant' experiment with live migration because i (think because i) forgot to enable "shared" mode on the LVM (over ISCSI) group. Is it safe to edit the group on master while vms are running on it, or should i stop everything, enable, restart?

..well, on the web interface, to enable "shared" i have to enter a page labelled "Edit LVM Group"...
that is what i meant as "group"
