Is Proxmox supporting Software RAID (mdadm) ?

I use a server of OVH. Its a model: X8STi Supermicro
With two Harddrives: model: 2 x Western WD10EADS-OOPS (Software Raid)
CPU Intel® Core™ i7-920

Software Raid setup:

With OVH version of Proxmox 1.3 Real bad performance.
After upgrading to 1.4 Much better but still not stable.

Question is the 82801JI (ICH10 Family) 4 port SATA IDE Controller of this server
giving me the troubles or software RAID ? Driver or bad Hardware ?
How to find a solution ? Support don't really has a good answer.

Looks like i the software Raid is the trouble its not supported ... must use hardware Raid or non .. to make it work..

Software raid is not supported by proxmox ve team.

It is not difficult to setup & get working & I have had 0 issues with it (I do have a real UPS for each server -- about 1500va ea).

Search for HOWTO: and you might come across my thread about setting this up.

You mean you use Software raid ? Its already on my server and works but i have bad performance update to 1.4 and performance is better but still not stable... So i just try to find out where my problem is and maybe its the Software raid...

What do you mean by optimize the file system ? Can you give a example ? Is it here http://www.proxmox.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1061
It was already installed by default. So how can you check this ?
I am gonna try to install server again with one disk, see if md is the problem...

Okay, but thats a page full of info. Still the question exist:
What do you mean by optimize the file system ? Can you give a example ?
Guess basic question is do i use LVM ?

There is a "filesystem" section that explains how to optimize it. Did you use those options?

The problem performance of the server was a defect. So i have
a other server with hardware raid all is fine now
