hi all,
pretty new to pve but experiencing in *nix and zfs. Hence my potentially dumb question: I've set up sanoid with 15min snapshots on zfs based pve host for rpool recursively including als VMs/LXC containers. this gets replicated via syncoid once a day to the backup server.
in a disaster scenario I would reinstall a vanilla pve installation and than replicate all datasets from the backup server to the new installation and should be good to again - correct?
the only downside I see to doing sanoid snapshots is that they are not visible in the pve GUI under VM snapshots ...
