we are still using proxmox 6.4 version and we are not ready to upgrade to the latest version and support ended for this version 2 months ago. is it safe to continue updating proxmox 6.4 even though support has ended 2 months ago? We are continuing to get update notices of new packages to this date.

Are you sure you get PVE updates and not just Debian updates? Debian Buster is supported until 30 June 2024 so Debian packages should get important security updates till then. But PVE 6.4 is already end of life, so don't expect security patches for PVE packages or the kernel.

Debian Buster is actually also end-of-life. There's just (well, maybe I shouldn't say "just" ;)) the LTS support still going.

@nttec Yes, you should upgrade if you want to get updates for PVE/kernel/corosync/etc.. Here is the official guide.

yes, @Dunuin - we thought that we are not gonna get new updates,
we still don't want to jump to the latest version @fiona we wanted to but we will do it in our new hardware. that's why we wanted to make sure that when we get the update on this list there wont be any problem with our current version while we are waiting for our new hardware.

Yes, it seems like the release team pushed a few packages even after Proxmox VE 6.4 went end-of-life, but you really shouldn't rely on that in the long run ;)

Sure, take your time. I don't know your situation and didn't mean to rush you :)
