Is it safe to directly connect a PVE SSD to another machine?

I am right now using my Intel NUC with i5-5250U to run PVE. Everything works perfectly. However I decide to use another mini PC with Intel i5-6500T. So instead of installing PVE again and migrate all the VMs, I wonder if I can simply unplug the SSD from NUC and plug it to Mini PC.

I've tried with Ubuntu before, so the answer is probably yes. But since Proxmox VE is complicated than just a Ubuntu, I want to hear some of your inputs. Some of the items that I know I need to change:
1. NIC name, in `/etc/network/interfaces`
2. Any other items?

Thanks!

Update: It turned out easier than I expected. The only things that needs to be changed is indeed the network interface and update the DHCP static IP on the router.

I once did move one from Intel to AMD and after fixing the network interfaces it worked fine. Make sure to (temporarily) disable all auto-start and PCIe passthrough. And check the kernel and module parameters (cat /proc/cmdline /etc/modprobe.d/*) for possible required changes for the different hardware.

EDIT: Maybe check /etc/fstab and /etc/pve/storage.cfg because your disk path might need change.

Should work out-of-the-box (as Ubuntu, it's both Debian based, and all hardware-near-features are plain Linux/Debian).
Be aware that you can run into serious trouble if you plug in a PVE disk in another system which has already installed PVE. Depending on the circumstances, this can end very badly.
